Miami Arts District
The Miami Design District is a section north of downtown Miami, Florida within the southern extremity of Little Haiti. It is divided by NE 36th Street to the south, NE 41st Street to the north, North Miami Avenue to the west and Biscayne Boulevard (US 1) to the east.
It is home to nearly twenty art galleries and over forty showrooms & stores.
Credited to starting the district is Craig Robbins, who purchased many run-down buildings in the 18 square block area and persuaded many top designers, such as Alison Spear, Holly Hunt and Peter Page to relocate.

Midtown Miami is a newly created section north of downtown Miami, Florida and south of the Design District and Little Haiti. It is roughly divided by I-395 to the south, I-195 to the north, I-95 to the west and Biscayne Bay to the east. It is mainly in the sections of the city referred to as Wynwood, western Edgewater and eastern Overtown. The northern section is sometimes referred to as Uptown.
It is currently part of a massive construction project to revitalize the area.[1]
